"You know what they’re looking for, right? It’s called frontotemporal dementia. Areas of your brain start to shrink. It’s what my mother had. It’s the only form of dementia that can hit teenagers. And there’s no cure."

#a hero that’s able to remain almost painfully human through it all #who fights and fights #and breaks herself over and over during the process #while most of her friends just stand there #always expecting #pushing #when really #sometimes she can’t patch everything up #sometimes she’s just human #and that makes me love her even more (via neuteredvampire)

#What I love even more about this#is that Buffy is referring to a very human problem here #she’s not talking about slaying vampires or killing demons #she’s talking about the fact that her mom died #she’s 20 years old and she’s responsible for saving the world over and over #by this point she has already died for her cause and killed the love of her life to save the world #and now she’s also responsible for her little sister #she has to take care of all her mom’s funeral arrangements and become her sister’s gaurdian and she has to be STRONG #she’s the SLAYER #that’s what people EXPECT #but really she’s just a 20 year old girl who lost her mom and has to take care of her little sister #and then she has t go fight a god and make sure said god doesn’t kill her sister and destroy the world #she’s just one person and she literally carries the weight of the world and she tries to be so strong and she IS #but it breaks her sometimes and I love that about her #U G H #Buffy feels (via imaginary-realities)
